Sorry to be AWOL of late, but I'm now back again.
Not had a holiday for 7 years, so went off to York, didn't see a great deal because it was York Hospital.
I was supposed to be going in overnight for antibiotic drip last Wednesday, but ended losing the big toe on my right foot which had been trouble by an ulcer on the ball of same.
Now, no ulcer - cause no toe. Strange thing is I had a bunion on the joint and it from that that the only pain came, and the bugger wasn't there.
Still, as I told them, every cloud has a silver lining. For years, I have had a problem cutting the nail on that toe - problem now solved.

Hi Graham, good to see you back again.Toe removal is a bit of an extreme method for stopping the need for cutting nails.Hope you don't suffer from headaches because the cure could be a bit drastic and somewhat terminal!

Hi Graham

Sorry to hear of that but at the same time please to hear that you are back with us.
At least there is another good point apart from not having to bother cutting the nail again and that is if you accidentally stub your toe............you won't feel it!!!!!
Kind regards
Nigel.

Cheers Nigel.
Already happened. Believe it or not, one of the nurses apologised for banging it with my bedside table. No problem, never felt a thing.

Soooo that's what they do in York Hospital.. cut off a man's big toe.
Those beastly bastards.
Glad you are back Graham, I was beginning to miss your humorous post.

Good to see you back, Graham.

I have made a mental note to avoid holidays at York Hospital if I am ever in the area. I don't want them cutting anything off of me.

Welcome back, Graham!
We've even rolled out the red carpet for you........oh, hang on....that was the beige one

, you'd better check that bandage, Mate!
Seriously, that must have been unexpected, to say the least.
Hope it continues to heal well and gives no more bother.
