Hi Folks
Been offline for a while,
now catching up on what I'd missed.
Surprised to see no mention in FS forums of the following,
and as I'm not a TV viewer, have no idea whether broadcast.
You're all aware of Leonardo's helicopter,
that infeasibly kludgy concept of human powered levitation.
Effectively pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.
Over 500 years on, someone's done it - AeroVelo Atlas Human-Powered Helicopter
Whilst other HPH's have flown,
AeroVelo was the first to achieve 60 seconds flight, 3 m altitude, and remain within a 10m box.
Thus winning the American Helicopter Society's, (AHS), Sikorsky Sponsored,
Igor I. Sikorsky Human Powered Helicopter Competition prize of $250,000.
