Two More Pics

These two were taken on the same bike ride as the last two pics in my recent post, but they were taken on the iPad.I couldn't think how to post them to the forum(no don't laugh) so I emailed them to myself, then using my pc,copied them to a folder and uploaded them to Photobucket from there.I was quite impressed by the quality of the pics from the pad and the file sizes are obviously smaller than from my camera.Considering all the copying, emailing and uploading I think they have held up reasonably well.

That second picture must be one of your best ever, Eric. Superb.

I haven't found a better way of transferring pictures from the iPad into the real world. So I also email them to myself which works as well as any other method. You do have some control over the size, though. From the Camera Roll 'Share' screen, when you touch 'Mail' and the 'Compose' box opens you'll see the word 'Images' on the far right side of the cc/bcc line. If you touch that it should give you four sizes of image from which to choose to send - including 'Actual' which will be the largest. If you choose that you'll know you haven't lost any of the quality of the original. You probably know that - but just to be sure!

Thanks for the dose of tranquility young fella! Isn't technology great when it works?
Unfortunately with all that mailing and copying, the nude bathers dropped out of the pictures. :wasntme:

We have two wireless cards which are "working properly" but both refuse to do a thing.
I hope to have better luck with my new analogue video capture device (on order). I plan to put my airshow tapes onto DVD, then upload the digital stuff to the new Airspeed's Flying Visit (not uploaded yet).

Tom / Ian

Using iCloud syncs all photos between devices i.e. iPhone, iPad and Mac plus IIRC the latest update to windows 7 also allows syncing. I will check that later.

iCloud is free and give a 5Gb storage before you have to pay. You can select what is synchronised in the settings. Works a treat.

Adding or deleting photos from any device will sync across all. So no need for emails etc.

Lovely pics especially the second. Amazing what quality these devices produce.

Regards
John

It's easy peezy... I use a photo editor app, log into my hosting site, click on the upload link, grab my photo from my gallery, copy the url, paste that into the text box here on CBFS, and add the [img].

Easy peezy.

Hi Eric,

Ahh. well- bear in mind I'm on Android
The app I use is called Photo Editor.

But the process to upload photos to my hosting site (Fotki in my instance) from my phone works the same as uploading photos from a computer.

So you log into your photobucket account, go to the folder you want the pic to be kept in, click on the upload botton and that prompts a "Open As" dialog box to pop up. then you select the file and click on open.
The file is uploaded. boom Fin

On my Android there are two ways of this happening, If I run Flash or don't run Flash , either or I have a choice from where I want to obtain the target file.
My camera's gallery folder, the folder where pics are placed from the camera, or folders I've created when I upload images to the phone via bluetooth or syncing my phone via the usb connector to my laptop.

Does apple allow a website to access the files in the iPad when uploading to said website?

Do you have bluetooth on your PC? If not they make a usb dongle for PC that allow file transfer possible.
