TW3, you're right, Nigel, and IIRC, another regular unmissable.
Not the nine o'clock news, several goodies from way back. There was a sketch when glue sniffing was hitting the headlines. Patrons at the local ordered a bottle of glue, and "give us a few rolls of sticky tape to go with that"
Sadly, TV comedy today seems to involve folks saying the f word as many times as possible, and men hugging men to thunderous applause, as though they'd actually achieved something.
Maybe I'm out of touch.

Oh yes...Not The Nine O'clock News was a brilliant show.
Still not familiar with some of the stuff mentioned here, but in the old days ITV companies did their own thing so there were many programmes we didn't see
