It seems that at one time Pirates could have both ears pierced for two dollars.

I knew a guy who's teenage son wanted an ear ring. He flat out told his son no way, not under my roof.
then he asked his son which ear btw?

the father thought for a second and said . so I guess you'll be about 6 inches from being left then?
