System Mechanic

I've mentioned in passing several times, how my machine just shuts down, sometimes restarting itself, sometimes telling me that the boot disk failed.....blah blah...
Well, Serif offered a half price d/l, making it AU$20. I had previously used a similar Auslogics tool to do the same job.
This is day two after it told me that it had fixed a ton of problems, including that something like 27% of my RAM was not functioning (??)
Since running the suggested fixes, it hasn't crashed yet. I'm no techie, so this could potentially save me some dosh.

PS Ben, could you please kill that apostrophe in the topic heading? Thanks.

Well mate.. if it's fixed your system, $20Aus isn't a bad price!

Not heard anything of Serif for donkies years. I used their Desktop Publisher when I first got into pc's to make posters for the pub (if it's the same Serif) :) That is, until I got an HP Laserjet printer and the Serif software couldn't print to it. I called the helpline and the chap was quite helpful. They had a fix which I could download.. only thing was, I didn't have the internet then
