Great find Eric
I've bookmarked that site.
Mrs Airspeed looked across, saying how good the pics were, and how did I find them?

QUESTION:
Can anyone identify the aircraft in the "RAF bomber crew" shot? It looks like probably a twin - Wellington, Hampden, or the like, but I can't nail it.
I have a similar picture on an ANZAC biscuit tin; they do specials around ANZAC Day. I could not get a reply from the manufacturer as they were going thorough a take-over, and there was nobody taking questions.

Hi Mike. :hello: The bomber in the pic is a Wellington. :) At least I think it is judging by the window framework and the handle thingy attached to it. :worried:

Thanks Brian,
As I said, I considered Wellington, but the camera angle made it difficult.

It certainly wouldn't be a Hampden. You couldn't get two crew side-by-side in the cockpit, it was pilot only.

Hampden OOOPS :$

In my Wellington and Halifax book, there's a shot from a slightly different angle, that "handle thingy" isn't visible, but one of the angled struts and some little lumps and bumps seem to confirm our thoughts, thanks both!

BTW When searching my book, I came across an experimental with mid upper turret carrying a 40mm cannon!
