Flying out of Malta the other day I had just reached cruising altitude over the coast of Sicily enroute over Sardinia and corsica and onto france. Leaving italian airspace in the straights that separate the 2 islands takes about 1/2 hour, enough time for a brew On returning to the sim I was shocked to see the aircraft surrounded by cloud and lightning flashes First check was altitude, yes still at fl360 Thought at the time, Poor sods are having it a bit rough down there lucky its only a sim. Didnt register at first when seeing the news of the flooding, and only when Sardinia was later mentioned I thought Fsx had got it pretty spot on
Now I feel a bit bad over the tongue in cheek end of flight comments, that was actually a real life situation

Yes mate, its pretty spot on. Not long after FSX came out I took the Trident over to Tallinn and landed in a heavy thunderstorm. I checked the Tallinn airport webcam and it was spot on.
