Fantastic . Noisier than the real thing . I would love to know how they fly them so accurately - presumably an on board camera will help

I was wondering that Chris...Especially about how to slow and line up accurately for the landing. It was very well done in this case. One wonders if people directing such a large heavy beast around the skies are insured for any mishap?

Almost certainly insured flying something of that size.. AND at a public display. I doubt very much if he had onboard cameras. It's all down to spacial awareness.. you get used to knowing where IT is in relation to where YOU are and what's around you. Nicely flown

Very 'majestic' model and lovely Schwiizerdüütsch commentary. I've lived here long enough now that I understood all of that

In theory it should be possible to have some sort of stability control onboard, which, if switched on could keep the wings level an keep it in a straight line. A little bit of programing and an smartphone would be able to do it.

Onboard gyro's are common place these days. In fact, you can by them now with a receiver built-in though I wouldn't try a HobbyKing 'Orange' version on something like that. It's a big bit of kit that model is and it won't bounce around like a 'foamie'. As long as it's trimmed out and the CG is correct.. it should be able to take a fair wind before it's unsettled
