Yes Peter, i remember playing some of those in my teens on my Red and Cream Dansette record player like this one,
The first one i owned,
it is also a shame nowadays that long playing records are not wanted and i have this week parted from 40yrs of my records amonks other things as i am hoping to move house this year.
Thanks for the link,
Roger.

Well, if this is the type of music that 'floats your boat' you could do a lot worse than tune in to Angel Radio were it's played all the time. It's a radio station that specialises in anything recorded pre-1959 with some 60s music (in the "Angel style) also getting air time. If they're not playing what you want to hear then you can always ask for it - there's at least one and sometimes up to three request shows every weekday and on Sunday, too; it's a freephone number (for UK listeners) to make the requests or you can send an email and, unlike many stations, your request will be on air usually within 10 minutes of your call/email.
It's available on VHF (101.1) in the Portsmouth/Havant/Emsworth area, on DAB in West Sussex, Hampshire and the IoW and Dorset and worldwide on the internet via
http://www.angelradio.co.uk or
http://tunein.com/radio/Angel-Radio-1011-s45400/. Why not give it a try.
The downside? Well, if you tune in at the wrong time you could end up listening to me but nothing in this world is perfect is it?

What a wonderful find Peter.I looked in vain under the 1962 collection for 'Johnny Angel' by Shelley Faberes because in the way that music can bring back memories , for no particular reason it just brings to mind being taught to drive by my late Dad( yes he's the one to blame!) .Nonetheless , a great collection of memorabilia. Many thanks Peter

ps The Crewcuts-Sh Boom plus Ruby And The Romantics-Our Day Will Come---magic
pps and what about The Velvelettes-Needle In A Haystack? Ace
I've previously seen some of these on You Tube but it's great to see them all in a collection.

I certainly had a major crush on Shelley at age 14!

Many thanks for that link Peter.
Just spent rather too much time down memory lane.
