Hi chaps,

I was flying back from Heathrow tonight and saw two of the BA 787s, one on the stand and one along side our aircraft waiting to line up on 27L. I thought that BA had taken RR trents on theirs, but there was no RR logo on the engine. There were plenty if other 787s from other airlines some with the RR markings and some without, so did BA switch away from the Trent? Also spotted the BA 380 on the stand and BOAB sitting rather forlornly up by the old BEA maintenance hangers. On a side note this months Highlife magazine has a lovely black and white photo of the BEA S55 with floats being refueled in central London. I meant to lift a copy but forgot.

Hi Ben :hello:

The BA 787 uses Trent 1000.

All you need to know about the 787's can be found here

That's what I thought too Garry, strange that one doesn't have the RR badges though. :dunno:

Yeah :agree: ...I seem to remember something about...maybe Thomson not having the GE logo on at least one of their aircraft *-)

Whatever the details I've see this before and not about RR *-)
