Hi Folks
Excuse my apparent cynicism.
A year since US mil dumped them,
so a nice
birthday puff-piece, (literally).
Expect similar annually, (as per
all previous iterations).
Info was a conflation of as-built, and future build projected vehicle performance.
Vehicle came in 5 tonnes overweight,
with resulting performance degraded to
1.2 tonne payload for 5 days duration @ only 20,000 ft,
and a 1,000ft take-off run, (which defeated the entire point).
"In September 2013,
the Pentagon sold the LEMV airship back to HAV for $301,000,
a fraction of the $297 million spent on development."
LMAO
300K for a plastic bag filled with air.
Coz that's all it is,
without > 38,000 cu m of helium.
s
CRAPped, because it was...........
BBC footnote -
Stop/Start is a series of video features for the BBC News website
which follows both new trends that are beginning
and old traditions that are coming to an end.
I don't see what's changed now to make it viable.

The company's name.
For the gullible, or planned tax-loss.
