Yeah, those things impress me too...And the incredibly large but stable yaw angles he gets! I haven't the faintest idea how those manoeuvres are done

Well. of course they have massive control surfaces, so they'll do things that a Piper Warrior won't.
I guess all we can do is fire up an Extra, or preferably a Pitts Special, and try a few inputs.
I certainly would not like to be in the real cockpit, though. I'd be in no shape to wave to the crowd if I managed to land after such assaults on my body.

Funny you should mention that, Mike as there's also a video of a Peter Besenyei display from a cockpit camera and the "assault on his body" is clearly visible. Well, externally that is - heaven alone knows what's happening to his internal organs!
