I think ships "should" be easy in Sketchup... although I'm not very good with curves

I've been reading bits about the MADGE trials etc on various ships, so once Thurleigh is done I think I'll be knocking up some ships
I am NOT cycling to the coast from here!!!!

Re: New RN arrivals
What I really need is 'mates' NOT saying 'hows about the RAE Whirlwinds e t c'
This has surely been one of the most frustrating days of my life and ranks alongside getting divoreced. The major difference between the two is that I can look back on today and through the frustration, I've had fun and it's cost me nothing other than time
This.. like the first light/dark RN paint I did should be straight forward as both are HAR1's and had straight booms. However, the ribs are different on the model (which is an S-55 of course) and noting the aforementioned problems with texture wrapping/mapping.. it will be as 'off' as all the others. I'll get it as close as I feel like doing before moving on to painting all the stones in my garden borders, white You can make HMS Protector to go with it if you want

Re: New RN arrivals
Actually, no.. that was by pure coincidence. The tents I found were two colours.. orange or blue! Shoddy I had to make my own scenery for that screenie.. there's absolutely JS down in the Falklands
I like that paint.. probably more than the others and despite the colour! No more Whirlies planned though I may do one more old one if I can find what a particular logo is

Re: New RN arrivals
BTW Ro.. the RAF Yellow UH60 is now very shiny All the maps on the UH60 default to save as 32bit (indicating the alpha is embedded) so for want of something to do last night, I added my own to the already saved DDS and she looks a treat

Mr. B,
Coincidentally I finally bought the UH60 last week. I'd love to see a shot of how she looks now, or, even better, a chance of a copy of the paint ...
Pretty please.
