A Project I Admire...

I really enjoyed the book and I am envious of the reenactment flight...I would have loved to have done such a flight :)

Hi Peter,
Yes that does look like an interesting project, especially as they've refurbished the original aircraft.
I see that the original flyers were teenagers. :thumbsup:

Yes they were youngsters Mike...In 1966 Rinker Buck was 15 and his brother, Kern was 17. Rinker published his book 31 years later in 1997...It is a fabulous read and is called "Flight of Passage"...I love that book :)

Chris and April Nesin take-off today in Cub "71 Hotel" to fly Kern and Rinker Buck's coast to coast route across America...I wish them good fortune all the way. I just read "Flight of Passage" again and really enjoyed it :agree:
