A Project I Admire...

I really enjoyed the book and I am envious of the reenactment flight...I would have loved to have done such a flight

Hi Peter,
Yes that does look like an interesting project, especially as they've refurbished the original aircraft.
I see that the original flyers were teenagers.

Yes they were youngsters Mike...In 1966 Rinker Buck was 15 and his brother, Kern was 17. Rinker published his book 31 years later in 1997...It is a fabulous read and is called "Flight of Passage"...I love that book

Chris and April Nesin take-off today in Cub "71 Hotel" to fly Kern and Rinker Buck's coast to coast route across America...I wish them good fortune all the way. I just read "Flight of Passage" again and really enjoyed it
