Departed at 1024 local,1524 BST , and Flight Radar shows it now NW of Quebec City at 7700 feet . No actual estimate is given for Goose which is tonight's stop, but I anticipate it should be there about 2215 BST

I was coming to post about this visit - what with me all ready with my cameras and bike, to take some great shots and video and upload it to show here.

Well it ain't gonna happen.

Why? Because the rotten so & so's are closing the roads around Coningsby for the arrival (and for several of the events it will be attending). In other words, they are stopping anyone except their official press guys from getting close enough to it at Coningsby.

The word that comes to mind would get me banned!

So bollox to them! I don't give a snuff - my support for all things RAF in the area has just gone down the spout. What with the stunt they pulled at Wadders, too, it's too much. I'm a very unhappy chappy. :(

Seeing at the popularity of the events planned for East Kirkby in early September, and the undoubted interest surrounding the arrival, I don't think there's any option but to restrict access to vehicular traffic, particularly at the Dog Dyke Road end by the BBMF - afterall, it's still a 24/7 active airbase (as demonstrated today), and such a high volume or traffic and people would be impossible to deal with. It can get busy enough on a normal summer weekend.

I know where I'm going to go an watch. :)
