Anyone like to make a guess as to what is was..I have not got a clue except the windows look a bit Airbusish. Reg seems to start with an "E"

Sorry Ben it's not a 737 but there is one waiting for the chop.

Ben

That was what I felt at the time and see nothing to change that, except lists for Southend don't have any 320 there for the chop.

Something may turn up :dunno:

There is a 146 and a 737 both listed as one of a pair ready to scrap and now both on their own, so they are iminent. This one has slipped in under the radar

Just a wild guess, but here's a couple of bits from an interview with ASI. I don't know enough about paintwork to say whether the highlighted bits may relate to the letters you've identified, especially the second one:

Mark Gregory sifts through the mangled remains of a seven-year-old Boeing (BA) 737-700. Traces of orange on the tail betray the plane’s prior life as a member of EasyJet’s (EZJ:LN) fleet. His gray ponytail bobbing in the wind of the Cotswolds countryside,

There’s no shortage of cadavers. Leasing companies pay Gregory approximately $50,000 per plane to tear apart their aircraft and separate the engines to re-lease or sell them and consign the remains to parts companies. Much of the yard’s work last year involved Airbus (EAD:FP) A320s and Boeing 737 Classics.

EDIT I've discovered that those references are part of the stock market identifiers. :hide:
I should stick to what I know, which ain't much.

Cotswolds *-) so that's Kemble.

This was Southend

Definately not a Boeing 737, windows are the wrong shape. That rules out a 146 too. *-)

Well, I looked at locations for Inflite and ASI.
ASI say that they do some at their own base, some at customer sites, so last night I didn't know where the photo was from.
For all I know, that might be Steptoe and Son doing the break up.
As my old signature used to say, I don't know much, but I know I like simming.
