Classic British Flight Sim

Some photo's of my recent trip to Shoreham Airshow......I only went to see the Vulcan and 2 Lanc's......sadly the Canadian one was grounded.

Sky conditions were really poor for some of my shots.....need a good lens but the one I want is about £1000 ish....

Thanks for posting Tony.Bland skies don't help when it comes to taking good aircraft shots but you did well.I don't think that a very expensive lens would have helped much.At least you enjoyed your day.
Regarding the pics,I love to see shots of the beautiful Tiger Moth and the superb P51D Mustang.What an awesome fighting machine it was for it's time.Best wishes EricT

Great pictures thank you. Are the 109s replicas ? Or have they been re-engined with Merlins ( as per the Spanish airforce examples ) ? The engines do not appear to be inverted in them

Yes it is Paul. Grumpy was such a regular years ago, I quite missed seeing it when it left. Nice to see the Dutch aircraft back

I agree; Grumpy was lovely, and had a beautiful paint scheme on it. I believe the Dutch B-25 has been undergoing a major overhaul, which accounts for it's absence from the airshow scene of late. Or is it the Swedish A-26 Invader thats been overhauled ? I read something in the aviation press, but can't remember which aircraft it was other than a WW2 twin bomber. Finger on the warbird pulse, as ever.

The Dutch B-25 has not had a major overhaul. It has been out of circulation for a while as it was taken on board by the Royal Netherlands Historical Flight and was put on a Dutch registration. The move from its US registration (N320SQ) to the current Dutch one (PH-XXV) entailed a lot of unwanted paperwork and added headaches and it took a lot longer than planned. Once that was done crew training was needed and so on. It's been back in the air for just over a year or so I think. I'm not sure.
