It's amazing how rare pics of radial engined Lancs are, but then there were not all that many of them made I suppose . Your modelas ( and sepia ) are very realistic !

I actually did have to look a bit closer there - they struck me as actual wartime photos at first. That diorama is just so well done, particularly with that painted backdrop, and great that you selected a Mk II Lanc ! Any chance of some close-ups of the models ? I'd like to see how you've weathered them.

Great 'usage' details

For me the 3rd one is the most realistic as its slightly off focus, the others are too sharp compared with the background. But fantastic modelling well done & very, very nice photography.

Sharpness and depth of focus are two of the issues I'm working on.
By adding a little blur does give the image a more realistic feel. It's a shame no body makes good 1:72nd scale bomber crew.
There is one resin set but imho isn't very good.

I applied a dot filter of oil paints and then blended the paint to give a dirty appearance.
Then used silver paint to pick out wear on the leading edge and props.


Still playing around with night pictures which are not easy when you have a camera without shutter speed settings.

This is my favorite picture. The placement of the crew makes it seem more real somehow.

Well done!! I used to be a member of the IPMS, my membership number was within the first 50 members in the UK. I made my last model, an F-16, about thirty years ago and my eyes these days are just not up to building models to a reasonable standard. I very much regret that my model building days are over but I am still able to appreciate the effort and skill that other people still have.
