Classic British Flight Sim

This happened about 50 miles from where I live. Unfortunatly no one in the helicopter survived but the pilot and passenger of the Cirrus SR22 survived, probably thanks to the parachute.

Very sad. I've always been a little leery about those parachutes, but they definitely saved the day for those two pilots. I've always wondered if having a parachute aboard may influence a pilot to make bad decisions (safety related) that he wouldn't otherwise make if he didn't have a parachute.

Can't see that the parachute would lead to bad decisions, Brian.
Wouldn't run a red light because of good brakes and safety belts in the car, or jump out of a boat because I'm wearing a life jacket.
