Nice looking, but about 10 years ago I flew on an Air Transat L1011, and in the words of the Comic Store Guy, "worst flight ever" She was a creaky old bird, the seats we were allocated were like rocking chairs and when it landed at CYYC to change the crew, I wouldn't say it was a hard landing, but I'm pretty sure I bruised my coccyx.

Pretty bird.

At 3:03 a BA ATP makes a brief cameo...wearing Landor clothes no less.

Hi John,
Thanks for posting that, i did like the Tristar and that was one of my favorite liveries that Delta used and those Rolls-Royce RB.211 engines had a lovely sound.
Cheers,
Roger.

I noticed that too, but hopefully with time and maybe some therapy I'll get over it...eventually

Nice video clip and lovely sounds. However at the risk of incurring the wrath of some I have to say that I prefer the looks of the DC10.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we had a few flights on the 10 including our first 'exotic' holiday in '81 on a Laker DC10-30 into LAX.The world has changed so much since then.

The first one was a standard, the second one was a 500. The way to tell is the door behind the wing. The standard has a large and small door. Never could understand the logic behind that dinky little door. Probably something to do with evacuation requirements.
