Just to keep you posted on progress. Still needs the 2D cockpit & pop-ups, & G-AEDU is in process of having its very different instrument panel as well as a couple of other differences.

And here is a video of the other Dragonfly which resides at Biggin Hill.
Light is beginning to show at the end of the tunnel for completion before Beta testing. Need now to complete the 2D & popups for the NZ aircraft & then tidy up the files....

I find that 0.3 is good for both FS9 & FSX as it gives me adequate peripheral vision using only one screen & no IR track. Waiting to see if VR goggles (Occular rift?) will do better....& if I can afford them! It also helps illustrate the cockpit instruments & controls when shooting a video as it saves diving for the hat switch every time which is jerky. If in a strange aircraft I might zoom to 0.5 in order to read the gauges though.
What zoom do you use DaveB?

Hiya Keith
For the most part.. I use the default zoom for whatever aircraft I'm in and eff looking at the gauges
That's not exactly true.. sometimes I'll back out one or two taps. I appreciate the need to 'illustrate' a new cockpit but I couldn't fly like that all the time. The 'fish eye' effect does my head in
I also fly a lot of carrier ops and carriers are small enough as it is without making them any smaller
I have TIR5 but rarely use it
These days.. I'm only in the cockpit for takeoff (sometimes) and landing. A lot depends on the type of aircraft of course. If I'm landing a helicopter.. I'm definitely outside.. fixed wing, I'm definitely inside. The rest of the time.. who cares. All this a consequence of FSX, VC's and my inability to see around them. TIR helps but there's nothing like FS9 and a good 2D panel
