Due to go to a museum, the first QANTAS Boeing 747-438 has been retired

This was famous for flying non stop from LHR to Sydney

Funny thinking of Boeing 747-400 as museum pieces, but the reality it's over 25 years and scrap yards are filling fast with the type

A follow-up on Garry's post.
The final flight made the National News here some days back.
Checked on it tonight.
VH=OJA is going to the home of the Connie in New South Wales:
