That was on the 6th May 1952, seven days before my 19th Birthday...I soloed in Harvard KF265

I'm trying to imagine what 5 Harvards in formation would sound like, particularly in fine pitch !!

Beautiful photo Peter. Reminds me of when I once flew with an airshow pilot in his US Navy version of the Harvard...the SNJ-5. We were pulling some positive G's when all of a sudden my vision temporarily collapsed to where it looked like I was viewing the world through a small tube. I'd forgotten to tighten my gut.
