This video runs for under 8 minutes but it is well worth watching right through to the end

That was certainly very different to what I had been expecting Peter. Really liked the idea of the side control column though would not want to have it left hand side as I am a confirmed right handed flyer!!
Just one point of concern regarding those gliders is that if there was a need to bail out then what? there is no canopy to open upwards for a quick exit!!
Regards
Nigel.

Nigel,
I think the stick is on the right...The other stick on the left controls flaps/airbrakes.
No I think to bale out you just fall through the bottom doors.

Great...just needs a fan on the front (or back) to make it a real winner!!!

That looks like a lot of fun. I always loved gliding when I was in the ATC.

Yes Larry,
I loved gliding too...I was an instructor on 617 Gliding School at Bovingdon first, then Manston. There is something very special about gliding and the lack of a fan in front has a lot to do with it. I never quite got the urge to fly Motor Gliders

Thank you for looking Chris...It is probably a pilot's thing but that video called up some great feelings from the past and I expect it did the same for you

Yes indeed. Actually, my only gliding experience was the good old bungee launched Slingsby ( I think ) at school , where you generally got about 200 yards of flight per launch , although I did later have some goes at a Fournier RF4 which once you turned the motor off was lovely . The car launch brought back memories of Dunkeswell, where if the winch was kaput they had a Jaguar Mark IX to do the towing !
