The end of in-flight piccies from the RAF?

The sort of aerobatics that presumably are frowned on - particularly by the self-loading cargo.

Maybe we will be seeing fewer pictures taken from the cockpits of RAF transports in future, if cameras get banned from the cockpit?
At least a bit of positive news for Airbus at this trying time.

Yup.. the outcome was always going to be inevitable. Just goes to show how something so innocent 'could' be so potentially dangerous.

I figure it's Airbus wot done it by not providing a proper camera stow.
And for not having enough clearance around the stick.

Well mate.. anything of a similar shape/size/build could have done it. In this instance.. it turned out to be a camera.

And WHERE would they put the ipad charger, personal heart rate monitor and drink chiller, if there was more space around the stick, Joe?

If you're interested in human factors then the report makes interesting reading. There are a lot of contributing factors which led to this incident. You're correct in a way that this incident would have been very different on a Boeing, not impossible but less likely. I feel that in a way such an incident was going to occur eventually and may even have occurred before but has gone unreported. The Airbus 'interface' is more prone to misunderstandings in a way so when something unexpected happens, it will be difficult to ascertain where the problem lies. That may have been the main issue here.
And so we learn and move on.

Slight drift , for fly texas .... and I'm an '' if it ain't Boeing , I ain't going '' type of guy .......
One of our 737-400s had a heavy landing at Jersey EGJJ , UK Channel Island . Shortish , on top of a cliff , East/West runway , slope to the South . Weather comes directly off the Atlantic after a 3000 mile fetch ; so 4 seasons in a day sometimes .
Now the skipper [ no longer with us ] was not tall , and had bulked out in his older years ....... Rock 'n roll approach , flare , power off , big downdraft , skipper tried to arrest with big elevator input .......................... no more aft travel in the stick !
He was told in no uncertain terms to lose weight , not for medical reasons but operational ones .......or transfer to Airbuses !
