BLACKBURN B2
Visitors to the Shuttleworth Trust at Old Warden airfield cannot fail to have noticed the highly polished Blackburn B2 owned by British Aerospace.
Here's my FS9 model of it -
This is very much a W.I.P. as this shot shows. For example there is no interior detail yet etc. etc. .
The original is the only one left flying out of a total production of 42 ; the prototype being made in 1932. There is also a fuselage at the aircraft museum at Doncaster although that is in a very delicate state.

That looks very nice Dave.Although my preference in FS is usually for the heavier metal, this is one that I will definitely be looking out for.Thanks for your work. EricT.

I must admit you are a brave man going for a polished Alu finish.....well done looking very good.

Keith will no doubt remember a conversation we had about this machine. Becaue of the doubts about being able to achieve a satisfactory polished look, I have spent my time on the fuselage until satisfied. Only now will I work on all the twiddly bits.

You have also furthered my education; unaware that Blackburn was active back then.
Admittedly, I usually fast-flip through the biplane pages of my books, so it's self-inflicted ignorance.
Next time, I'll pay more attention to the early pages.
Hope it converts to FSX OK, I hardly ever use FS9 now.

We had talked about the possibility of a B2 before and that was when I did have an interest in the simulator, which has waned recently
A good friend of mine works at Old Warden and very kindly took for me a series of high resolution photos to aid in such a project. Took me ages to find them this morning, but they have duly been despatched to Dave this morning via Sendspace. Hope that they are of use with the project. Please find here a few 'taster' photos.

BTW - anybody know what the big red lever is slap bang in the centre of the panel ? (not flaps, or hand-brake).

Martin's on the case - good.
My guess is also fuel Mike. Note though that the tank is up between the top wings. However, there is a cable/tube/pipe running from the fuselage up to the fuel tank as well as the fuel feed pipe so ... We await the answer with breath bated.
