The red one above the compass is the fuel shutoff lever we're talking about Mike. The red one below is the throttle lever together with the yellow mixture lever which is only connected to fresh air. These two are duplicated over on the port side-wall. The blurb states that this particular example (the sole flyer) is fitted with a Gipsy 1 engine so I'm assuming that they've removed the mixture linkage for 'operational reasons' . Why they've painted them in such pretty colours is anyone's guess.

An excellent job with that shiny fuselage, Dave. Seems a shame to paint it with camouflage!! On the other hand ........
