Past Monarchs believed that they were divine, or at least personally endorsed by the Big Feller.

Agreed. She's been through some tough times in her reign. If it was me I'd have thrown in the towel long ago, re-christened the Royal yacht 'Britannia' to be named 'It's Five O'Clock Somewhere' , and sailed off to an island somewhere.

He subcontracted the detention centre management to a private outfit who have been accused of rape, torture and beatings.
