Check out the third photo of Lt. Edwin Wright, he wasn't called lucky for nothing.
The other photos and stories are interesting as well, even if a number of them aren't of American airmen.

Thanks for posting, Jon,
Interesting background information.
I was intrigued by the plotting room boards, wonder whether they were coded, or deliberately mangled, so as to avoid interpretation.
Odd, as I've seen wartime photos of RAF boards showing intelligible notes.

They're written in American, Mike... Maybe that's why they look all mangled... to you.
I understand them perfectly.
By the way ... Do you have one of those helmets with antlers in your Museum?
