Any member currently flying a good FSX bizjet?

Are there any forum members willing to recommend a good, but not too complicated, bizjet which flies really well in FSX?

My OP is now Windows 10.

The Carenado S551 with the community mods is fun to fly and definitely not too hard once you get used to the flows. Heard the FlySimware Learjet is pretty good as well, but beyond that, there doesn't seem to be much out there lately.

I quite like Rob Richardson's DH 125 (both versions) and his Hawker Beechcraft 800.

Alejandro Lucena's FSND Citation X Ultra is nice too.

After posting my query regarding good Bizjets I stumbled on Alejandro Lucena's Citation X Ultra. I managed one circuit prior to shutdown so I shall go on to explore that aircraft this evening.

Earlier this year I bought the Carenado Phenom a beautiful looking aircraft but I found the A/P and Nav system awkward to use, as did many other flightsimmers. I know that this problem has been partially solved by a community mod which allows one to navigate in the USA but not, I believe, in Europe. That experience made me somewhat wary of buying other Carenado products. I do accept that one difficult flightsim aircraft by one company should not condemn all the products from that company.

Settling down to FSX. At present I am undertaking a tour of Europe in the FSND Citation X Ultra using flightplans made with the fsx flightplanner.
Route taken northern loop: London Southend - Dublin - Edinburgh - Oslo - Stockholm - Helsinki - Warsaw Vantaa - Berlin Tegel - Copenhagen - Rotterdam (for The Hague) - Brussels - London Southend.

So far I am at Berlin Tegel.

The Southern loop will be: London Southend - Paris Orly - Lisbon - Madrid LEMD - Marseille - Rome LIRA - Milan LIML - Basle - Vienna - Prague - Munich - Luxembourg - London Southend

Such stage lengths suit my style of flying at simspeed normal where sixty actual seconds takes one minute.

All flights are being flown using Active Sky Next.

The Citation X seems to be a native FSX aircraft which has both a 2D and Virtual flightdeck.

There are three methods of navigation available in this aircraft. First the use of an autopilot to manage lateral navigation by headings and vertical navigation, second the standard FSX GPS and lastly an FMC into which one feed the route via a keyboard - a simple and clear operating pamphlet for the FMC is included with the aircraft. One problem with the aircraft - I can't find the panel switch to operate the taxi lights.

Prior to undertaking my "European Cook's Tour" I have had a spate of minor problems with Windows 10 when running FSX - inconvenient CTD and all hell being let loose just prior to landing. I now try to remember to run FSX as "Administrator" together with AS Next and UT2. Recalling advice from forum users many years ago I did check to see that I had the latest edition of FSUIPC - I hadn't - my version loaded ten days ago was out of date so I have updated it to the current version, version 4.95. Likewise my Nvidia graphics driver one week old has been updated to driver 365.9. These last two moves seem to have improved the whole operation of FSX running with W10.

Per Ardua!

I am a huge fan of the Scenery Config Editor. Download here https://sourceforge.net/projects/fs-sceditor/

It is especially useful if you have a large amount of add on scenery. Since becoming a fan I have noticed 1. Quicker load times to FSX 2. Haven`t had an OOM crash because the sim is not loading every BGL file only the ones you instruct it to.

There is a good YT instructional video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-DMMMse3UA

It may seem a bit fiddly at first but like everything else in life you soon adapt.

Give it a whizz.
