Starting the Andover in FSX

I have downloaded and installed the A780 Andover in FSX.

No matter what I do, including the "rapid start" switch, I simply cannot get the engines to start.

There is no combination of start selector, fuel cocks, HP cock position, relight switch which will get me a fuel flow and some EGT.

Can anyone help?

I can start the 748 no problem!

I don't recall having a problem with this before but in all honesty.. It's not been in my FSX for a L O N G time. I've just downloaded and installed it and while I got engine#1 to fire up.. engine#2 refused to light and the starter panel locked up. Don't know what to suggest I'm afraid.

Check the fuel trims are set to 100% I think prior to the last upgrade the 748 defaulted to 0. It caught me out several times, when the engines failed to start. Maybe its the same on the Andover

The fuel trims default to 100% on this one but it's worth checking that the 2D and VC panel coincide. I've just managed to get it started but it sure wasn't pretty 8)

It's not fuel trim, they are set at 100%, I ran them both down to 50 and back up to 100 to ensure it wasn't a faulty gauge.

Tried again just using the rapid start button from just loading the aircraft, it still won't start.

A time saving work around would be to leave it running. It loads running fine needing only the generators and associated 'flying gear' to be switched on. Starting from cold or restarting will have your passengers going by foot!!

I think you need to open the 2d panel first then it should work

I only use 2D panels, I am simply not a 3D panel fan.

If your default flight is cold and dark, check that the mixture is set to full rich.

Also, starter code in FS9 and FSX differs. FS9 code continually "kicks" the engine up to idle while FSX' starter is a simple on/off switch. Not sure if the portover model fixed this.

Default flight is the trike, engine running.

It turns over on the starters and gets to about maybe 1000-1500 RpM but no EGT
