OK, Image ... So - :| - I've been mulling this gargantuously phenomenally HUge number over and over in my head. Image I've thought about how it started from essentially ?? :dunno: a few quid in tea taxes, to approximately *-) .. in 235 years time to.. About ... rounding it off , there abouts, plus or minus 2 bob... approx.,... 20,000,000,000,000. That's what it looks like with all the circles behind the 2.

It was 10.5 trillion in 2007, an accumulated debt of 227 years. How that double in 8 years is un·fath·om·a·ble.

ok gotta rap this up the library is closing .. so the clock bit. If you were to start counting , one dollar at a time , per second... how long would it take to count it up..

....

ready?

... are you sitting down?

sure?

You could never get to the end of course as it is rising faster than you can count. :wall:

But! If you got the whole country to help out you could get it done in 17.4 hours!

But! nobody uses 1$ bills any more, 20$ are more common and more likely, then only 52 minutes.

Not disputing its a lot of money, until we start collecting enough in taxes to pay for what we spend it will keep going up.

Gruff.
Okay, the whole country theory... That just won't happen.
For one thing, putting a pile of one dollar bills on the table would be like a Brink's truck losing it's loot on the freeway. The Democrats would stuff their pockets
And the conservatives would say, all this work? We'll need tea. Now, just grabbing a number to represent the conservatives counting x 50 Pence a cup. That alone will will cost all the tea in China. :agree: and I say China be cause the Brits wouldn't ship any over, they'll 8) say. Send you tea? We should say Not, that last load we sent ended up in the bottom of the harbor! Ha! Some nerve. ... Right Mike?

The second theory, no pun intended,
The 20 dollar per second theory will take 31,688.7646 years to count up to 20 trillion

3rd-ly (just to shorten it up the best I can :worried:)
If raising taxes were the answer, we'd never have national debt. I mean, :worried: :shhh: even the British know That. :wasntme: :hide:

Face it we're flecked :(

Have you factored in the Trump equation as he plans to reduce taxes. :hide:
