RAF Museum Hendon

If you want to see anything of the Battle of Britain Hall at Hendon you'll need to go soon as it is closing on October 3rd. The whole museum is going to be disrupted for a while as they re-configure the layout in readiness for 2018 celebrations of 100 years of the RAF.

I was there on Monday and the only aircraft which is still in one piece in the BoB Hall is the Sunderland. All the others are in a more or less advanced state of dismantling for move to storage/other halls.

I don't think anyone noticed the Spitfire fuselage sticking out the back of my car as we left. Just need to get the wings now..... :wasntme:

Now that's a point. I did have it hosted on a picture hosting site that got greedy and started wanted paying. they had said that folk could leave stuff already on for free, but it seems they may have pulled the plug. Either that or SWMBO has got the mint sauce out and chased Dolly away. :-O

I did open an account at photobucket but never got round to moving the avatar across. I should give it a go now.

Cheers,
Allan
