I vaguely remember this TV advert. I can see now it is an ABC or Hunting Vanguard. But is it really flying over the cottage? - looks to slow to me.....

On second thoughts, I think it is being flown as slow as possible, hence the flap. But where? East Midlands Airport? (Where they were based.)

ABC/Hunting were at East Midlands but in reality.. that shot could have been taken anywhere.

Note that it doesn't have its wheels down , so this clearly wasn't a normal approach

Oh sure. The sound proofing Windows would keep the noise from the Vanguard from coming down the chimney and
rattling the foundation!

The late Ted Moult was a farmer at the village of Ticknall in South Derbyshire which is close to the climb out from r/w 27(or approach to 09) at East Mids. I remember going strawberry picking there many years ago!
It's possible that the ad was filmed somewhere in the locality.
I used to love the sounds of the Vanguards there and later the Electras of Air Atlantique.
