HMS Dreadnought v10

Slightly old news, but the first of our new Trident submarines will be named HMS Dreadnought, the tenth warship to carry the name.

From the above article:
The MoD, which received approval for the name from the Queen, said the next three boats would also be given names with "historical resonance".
So chaps, which historically resonant names do you think they will be ? Personally I'd like to see HMS Thunderer, after the only dreadnought-type battleship built on the Thames. What about HMS Nelson or HMS Rodney, to maintain the battleship connection ? Place your bets here.

Personally I don't like it. Not that I am against re-using the name, but am against re-using for the first of the class. I like being able to say its a 'xxx' class without having to qualify it more. Especially that this is now the second 'Dreadnought' class submarine. Call it Warspite or Thunderer or any other great name that was not the lead ship in its class.

Not sure I follow - you mean give that class of vessel a name, but don't have that name given to one of the boats, yes ?

Just to completely clear as to definitions, a class of ships is a series of ships all built to the same design.
traditionally, the first ship of a class gives the class it its name. The Queen Elizabeth class battleships were called that because the first of the class was HMS Queen Elizabeth, even though there were five ships of the class built,

Yes, but I'm still not quite certain what you meant in your previous post. Do you want a name given to the class, but to not use that name for one of the vessels themselves ? For example, the Rodney-class, comprising four vessels - Nelson, Hood, Warspite and Thunderer ( and no actual vessel named Rodney ) ?
Or...are you happy to use the name Dreadnought as one of the names of a class of vessel that's never been named as a class before ? Historically there was never a 'Centurion'-class ( ship name yes, but not a class name ), so you could have that as a new 'class' name, comprising the Centurion herself, Dreadnought, Warspite and Thunderer. Is that what you mean ?
Sorry for the ongoing confusion - it's me age.
Edited for clarity, though it might not be very evident.

Sorry if I am not being clear and I don't know if I can say it better than what I previously posted.
We have already have had two classes of ships called 'Dreadnought', the 1906 battleship and the 1960 Submarine. Now They want to launch a third class of ships where the lead ship is called *-'Dreadnought'. If too many classes of ships have the same name it makes it confusing.
Is your name not Bruce, then?
No, it's Michael.
That's going to cause a little confusion.
Mind if we call you 'Bruce' to keep it clear?

Ah, I see now. Sorry.
I was thinking - they named all the Polaris boats with historical names starting with R, and the current Trident boats all start with V. I don't think it would be possible to find another three capital ship names starting with D. In my copy of The Battleship Builders by Ian Johnston and Ian Buxton, the only other two were Duncan and Dominion - Duncan is already taken by D37.
