Here's the real thing. All very calm and professional .... not.
Sounds like the captain's really pissed off. :)

OK cooked up a little video for you.

Just the basics to get her flying.
Many thanks, Calypso. Based on your video, I'm inspired to give the -154 another try this weekend.

I've seen that clip several times over the years, and I always feel sorry for the poor "trainee". Apparently the concept of CRM hasn't been fully embraced by this captain. I had an instructor like this once. Quickly found another after several lessons and never looked back...

A lot of the safety issues in the old days were to do with alchohol consumption. The crews when drinking in their rooma at night used to have a toast and their hands made contact not the glasses, so nobody could hear them at the booze.

I tried to load this aircraft up a month or so ago. It looks great, but for me I found it too complicated for the few times a year I would fly it.

Since it requires a cold and dark start, with at least 12 steps, in a panel that is all in Russian, it was just too much for my limited attention span.

Joe
After watching John's video I've got a good handle on it.
His is far easier to follow than the real world start up procedure in this video.

I've hit a bit of a snag.. I've got no gauges in the panel views.. oh , did I mention I installed it into P3d ver.3.4.
Do you think that would have something to do with it..
I'm still using the P3d that didn't install correctly. I can't install fsuipc and I don't think sim connect is working either.
I really Dread having to muck with it....

When I loaded it up in my P3D 3.4 install it worked ok in that respects, granted I never got it started. I would rename your p3d program folder and try to install again.

Hey Joe,
I've been able to get fsuipc installed in P3d !
.
Then I got my FSX back up working by installing the required .dlls and have fsuipc installed for FSX.

But I still don't have gauges in the panel of the TU 154. In either sim..
:dunno: *-)

Alas after deciding I did not want it in my hanger I deleted it and the installer files, and I am going to be away from my computer this weekend but if you have not figured anything out by next week I will see if I retrace my steps and see if I can get it working.
