That helmet never got built as the company ran into problems getting an eyeline display approved for use on a bike.

Also the dev company where not too hot on thinking about the actual safety of the helmet so it never really got finished.

Shame as it looked promising
I signed up to test it but they only sent samples to high profile US mags etc then it sunk

Rick

First thing that struck me was "information overload"
I cannot imagine properly focusing on riding while I'm being fed weather updates and music as well as rear view and instructions on where and when to turn. :tunes: :dunno: :tunes:

Joe, I thought that you were driving a Stag these days, or was that just a sideline for Sunday cruising? Image

I agree with Mike, and yes I am a motorbike rider.

Right at the start of the video is a description of the accident that the developer had which describes him hitting the car in front of him because he was distracted and didn't see it braking in time. I don't see that having a camera on the back of his helmet would prevent that, the heads up display would probably make things worse. Maybe he was looking over his shoulder, ineffective mirrors can be a problem on some bikes, but it still sounds like he was too close to the car in front for the speed he was travelling at.

Bluetooth equipped helmets allowing riders to listen to music or make phone calls already exist, personally I don't like the idea and believe that it increases rather than reduces risk.

Indeed Jon. The only useful purpose a rear view camera could have on a bike is to see if you have a Fed in pursuit

Me? Own a Stag? It's a nice looking car I reckon, but not likely, Mike . Not after all the problems I've seen with the one in the shop, and all the mate lots here who posted their experiences of owning one.

, but you've got me thinking
