Prepard3D v4

Re: Prepard3D v4
Don't worry - I'm not starting a EULA debate because I know what each licence means. Out of interest, however, which v4 licences are people using? Academic, Pro, or Developers ? I'm asking because in v3 I have the Academic license, but Froogle ( he of Frooglesim youtubes ) recommends the Professional one in v4.
Oh, and I confess to having the NGX too.

Academic.
With v3, TacPack was only avaliable for academic. I assume when (if) they release the v4 version it will be the same.

Just caught this on return to the real world after 4 days in ITU with SEPSI (very nasty) following a minor surgery.
Academic here and I'm looking forward to have a flight over the next few days.

Thanks for the responses, chaps. Silly question, but can you have the SDK along with the Academic licence?
Allan..ouch ! Welcome back, glad you're fixed !

Hi Paul,
Yep, the SDK, in the sense of the same type of thing you get with FSX is a free download and works in a similar way to the old FSX one... albeit with lots of enhancements

Re: Prepard3D v4
So I made the mistake of buying PC Pilot this month and reading the Prepar 3D v4 review and now I'm here again
I'm also a few quid lighter as I've decided to take the plunge, buy a new PC and purchase v4. Especially as everyone is stating massive FPS increases (yes I know FPS is not everything but..). My new setup will also be VR ready (although will have to wait a while to afford the headset).
My new rig will have a 250gb SSD for C: and 500gb SSD for D:. Am I right in thinking I should put the O/S on C: and Prepar v4 (along with all my addons) on D: for best performance?
I'm looking at reinstalling from scratch all my software from disc. Do I need to do anything for these third party installers to recognise where Prepar3d is installed ? Guessing I just point to the install location ?
Muchos graciarse.
