Strange Scenery ... Or Mesh happenings
Hiya.
I'm having a strange occurrence in my FSX sim.
Starting from Princess Juliana everything is fine. If I fly over to St Barts everything is fine.
But.
If I fly from St Barts to Princess Juliana .. the runway at Princess Juliana has a 10 foot elevated terrain on just the runway.. the runway / taxi markers are up on the elevated area as well.
The parking area and terminal are at proper elevation ..
Any ideas why this happens?

Re: Strange Scenery ... Or Mesh happenings
I made a change to mesh resolution from 2m to 5m and that removed the offending terrain on the runway.

Re: Strange Scenery ... Or Mesh happenings
still doesn't really explain why it happened, though, Joe.
Did you lose a lot of detail when you changed, or was it unnoticeable?
I would hope that altering your settings shouldn't be necessary as you move around.
Maybe one of our Gurus will have an answer.
Would you believe I was trying to be serious, thought I'd google the area as reported, to make sure I had it right in FSX, so I could see how mine presented the scenery.
So......St Barts to Princess Juliana duly typed in.
Maybe you were hallucinating by the time you arrived, not to mention out of fuel!

Oh, ye of little faith!
Having found St Barth's, I did the flight with display settings as shown. May I add my disappointment at the lack of nude bathers, despite the settings.
The other shots are approaching St Barth's, then flying over Lady Julia.
No funny raised markings on my rig. I'll look forward to yours, Joe.

Are you using default scenery Joe?
EDIT: Just had a look here Joe and Princess Juliana is ok BTW Mike.. St Barths would be the French abbreviation. The English is St Barts

I'm not using the default St Barts scenery, Mike
I'm using an add-on created by WeekInAviation Production Group.
https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads ... h-scenery/.
Aerodrom de Saint Jean, Saint Barthelemy, Guadeloupe (TFFJ).
in any case, I'm satisfied.. it's all good.
Joe
Edit
Hey Dave.
I caught your post when I attempted to post mine.
I think the St Barts add-on is spectacular, especially for the cost.

Re: Strange Scenery ... Or Mesh happenings
No prob Joe
Do you have a Princess Juliana addon to go with it? The default isn't bad to be honest (much better than St Barts) but landing over the beach blowing punters into the sea appeals to me

Re: Strange Scenery ... Or Mesh happenings
Just to be clear.. this is what I see at TNCM after flying from TFFJ ... That's -Starting at TFFJ flying to TNCM.
On approach.. I just went to display settings and moved the Mesh resolution slider.. clicked OK and they disappear.
If I start at TNCM on the active runway.. the mounds of crap (to put it bluntly) aren't there.
EDIT
Daaaaave.. are you stepping on me , on purpose?
I use a freeware add-on for princess Juliana.. I'll have to look at it.
