Recently took a spin to inspect the 4th Frigate squadron off the coast of devon
Passing over HMS Arrow....
....and Antelope.
Landing a Wessex on HMS Active was a tad tricky...i'll need to see if I can play around with the old Alphasim Lynx HAS 3 and get it to work in FSX
Cheers

Freeware WIP about 99% complete - just testing out night textures and various effects/animations...also having a bit of fun for a change it's been about 4 months since I've done any flying in FSX
It's a collaborative piece I'm doing with Henrik Neilsen as part of his next ship package release...I'm creating a couple of RN ships from the 80's for him to include. Type 21 is first out then I'll be working on a type 42 batch 1 and a county class (batch 1 or 2 not sure yet). He's also asked me to further modify the Amazons to create the Tariq class.
I found some plans for a type 21 RC model frigate which I used for the superstructure and Henrik provided some textures and components to spruce up the deck.
Cheers

They really look great Gary!
Looking forward to this. Somewhere out there our DaveB has a big smile on his face.

The thought of Dave was my motivation for posting on here. I normally post my WIP stuff on the flying stations forum and it was there that Dave gave me early feedback and encouragement, tested out some of my beta creations, and gave pointers on where I could improve (a stray texture here, a missing polygon there, white ensign should only be flown on the stern when in harbour..which I had to remove and recompile!)
The CBFSIM Gallery is distinctly less 'nautical' with Dave's passing and I always enjoyed his picture posts so I thought I'd post a piece of finished naval work that I couldn't have got over the line without him.
wherever he is I hope he likes the finished product.
