Afternoon all ;)
The Airspeed Envoy MK3 is now ready for beta testing  . You may get the zip fileset from here -

This is a FS2004 model but it behaves well in FSX - sorry but it won't work in P3D v4 apparently. You'll note that this sports blister cowlings, these contain the powerful and rugged Armstrong Cheetah IX engines - over 37,000 of the slightly later Cheetah X were made.
The engines and wings now plywood covered produced a higher sPeed than the MK2 (max speed over 200 m.p.h.).

Here's the panel - more gauges than the MK2 Envoy.
Looking forward to your comments -please remember to state FS9 or FSX.
Cheers

Not found anything in FS9 except am very worried that prop dia is too big - very little ground clearance. Photos show a bigger gap.
Just tried in FSX sp2, noticed rpm about 2550 at 183 KIAS - needs a bit more prop pitch? Probably same in FS9.
Nice to see the undercart side brace now recessed in wing when retracted.

Update using FS9:
Need to increase Roll MoI as she wobbles at about 180 KIAS - I've increased 5500 to 6500.
Prop pitch increase from 26.0 to 27.0. RPM now OK at 183 KIAS.
Need also to increase Max indicated speed in reference Speeds in order to stop wobble due to overspeed - I've increased from 183 to 200. Vne is usually greater than max level speed.

Thanks Keith - stirling work as usual :agree: A cold wet day here, so...
I've made a check flight with the revised values - all OK now. I've also decreased the diameter of the props down to what I thought looked about correct, to find when measured, they are actually now the same diameter as specced in the config. Plenty of ground clearance now on take-off.
BTW the model is now topping 62500 polys so that'll do.
There's a great radial engines sound fileset by Nigel Richards over on S.O.H. which I was tempted to include but it's nearly 60Megs big, so didn't.
Cheers

You can always reference Nigels sound set in your readme for those who can afford the extra Mbits.......but is it not for the DC3?

Er , I thought I'd mention it before someone else does - I made a 'deliberate' mistake with the serial number. It should be P5629 (now corrected. :$ )
Cheers

I took it for a quick circuit in FSX SE and it seemed to work alright. That was before the latest mods which I don't know if they have been uploaded yet. That was including the reg correction
