Filonian with an "S" ?

Hi Graham :hello:
You have me intrigued!
Your signature has adopted a "diamond S".
Have looked on line for its meaning... Super Senior Citizen, Sagacious Whisky connoisseur, Special Soldier, are some that did not pop up.
Would you care to share the origin, or tell me to mind my own business. :dunno:

I think the 'S' is silent, like the 'P' in 'swimming'...but it could have summat to do with Scarborough *-)

Hmm, interesting. *-) I'm guessing it's a brewery logo of some sort. Graham has a new favorite beverage, and this is the company's logo...or not. :dunno:

I have just returned this "S" to my signature after some time Mike.

This link will explain things better than I can: -

Feel free to browse it everyone.

I happen to be the Doncaster District secretary and the Eastern Area secretary. It is a marvellous organisation, but like all ex-Service organisations we are suffering from declining numbers due to age.

Thank you for the explanation, Graham. ;)
I thought that I had searched well, but that symbol evaded me. :$

Thank you also for your service to Country, without which our lives would be so different. :thumbsup: 🥃

Mike, I'm afraid my service entailed National Service, all of which after trade training was spent at RAF Catterick. I feel quite humbled by the service and exploits of a lot of my fellow Companions.

You can imagine the pleasure it gave me to send a 100th. Birtday card in December to a member of 230 Stonebow Mess, Lincoln who flew at least 27 missions as a tail gunner in a Lancaster.

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts, .......etc.

....and you, Graham, played, and still play, your part. :agree:
