Can highly recommend this city... and the chocolate. And that's coming from someone who lives in Switzerland

They have changed their policy. I can now see my old Photobucket pics on this forum.

Fortunately I've had no such problems. Unfortunately that's because I haven't been anywhere.
Yes, that architecture is really something!
We've been watching documentaries about ancient Italy. They used some fancy rock and concrete - penetrating 3D scanner. The Romans had concrete that could set under water.
The underground aquaducts and buried buildings are astonishing. Some of it was BC! Last night was focused on Venice, some of the construction dating from 1300s IIRC. What they achieved without today's construction cranes was truly impressive.
That's a very ominous looking sky in pic 20!
