By the way, I hadn't gone AWOL, just back from the funeral in Newton Aycliffe of a longstanding friend and member of our organisation, which entailed an early start.

No slapping required Graham, you are absolutely correct.

TBH I'm not perhaps celebrating as much as folks might expect, my wife passed away earlier this year after a brief battle against cancer, so it's quite a strange situation. Obviously my views on living in Brazil have changed, as have my plans for the future. But that's for another time, today is a day for (muted) celebrations.
