I'd be interested to know about the improvements to night lighting and water rendering, as and when. :)

My internet stayed up long enough to download. Might have a chance later to install but it looks best to do a fresh install so here comes the joy of reinstalling all those add-ons!

I'll let you know Paul as soon as I've done the hours of reinstalling.

Read somewhere that the Beechcrafts may have been removed. Booo! if that is the case. Big Baron fan here. 8)

Is that just the old Microsoft Beechcraft that have been removed?

Very impressed with 4.4 so far. :) I did a full, clean install, then copied my settings across from a backup and added back in my usual addons. Like for like fps seems slightly higher, photoreal ground textures are much sharper and general texture loading seems improved.
Haven't looked at the water in detail yet, and as I don't usually fly at night I can't really comment on any improvements there.
The pbr textures oh the default F16 are "ok", and give some idea of what is to come, but I think when the 3rd party devs get to grips with it we will start to see some stunning effects.
The old default Beechcraft aircraft were removed at the request of Textron, so it was not LMs decision to do so.

Just joined the world of 64 bits and quite like it. I'm still running it as installed, with no add-ons whatsoever, and the PBR on the F-16 is completely lost on me. Maybe it's something you have to look for, in order to appreciate.

I shall install the JF Vulcan tomorrow and have a longer play.

You can see the difference if you compare the PBR and non-PBR F-16s back to back, but on its own it doesn't really showcase the effect to its full potential.
