A New Season so What Happened to Ferrari?

Just watched the highlights on YouTube for the Australian qualifying for tomorrows race. I have given up watching it on TV as some times it becomes so boring especially when one car is waaaay ahead of the field so usually watch the highlights on YouTube.
I had expected though to see a big improvement in Ferrari but it just seems that somewhere along the line they have not been able to make any impression on Mercedes who had thought that Ferrari had more power than they have.
Mind you this is only the first race of many and a lot can happen in F1 so will be interesting to see how it plays out during the year.
