Safely distant from that crashing tree, was this little charmer.
It's an Eastern Spinebill, a honey eater, enjoying the Salvia flowers.
They are usually around, but took a long break during the long dry this year.
You can see some tiny raindrops on its feathers. The head is about the size of a man's thumbnail.

10 days ago I took this snap of 4 baby Robins under our deck. Today the last of them flew away. I found it amazing how quick it went from mommy and daddy building the nest to their going off into the wide world.
Oh I give up trying to get a snap to show up.

Hi Alex,
Go to wherever you've uploaded your photo.
Right click and find "Copy image location" Copy it.
In your post, click on the picture icon, which will insert "
"
Point mouse between the two inner square brackets and left click.
Now right click and paste.
The bits you need are: "h t t p://a b c.com/wpimages/a-123-uy-.jpg" You can delete any preceding characters.
If your image is other than JPEG, you'll naturally have a different extension.
Check out other posted pictures; right click on the image and read the image information to see it in real life.
Good luck! Happy to help if you need more.

Holy Moly!
No, I made it up using the usual x to represent whatever.
Serious apologies to anyone who clicked on it. Now amended to one that doesn't actually work.
