I was also there on the Wednesday but found the entire thing to be most disappointing.

A lack of facilities, ridiculously overpriced food and drink followed by delay after delay to the main event (with no reasons given), lead to me leaving without seeing them depart.

I had things to do at home (other halfs birthday) and couldn't wait indefinitely.
Unfortunately, I won't be rushing back to Duxford.

CB, in fairness to Duxford, the delay was due to the VIPs over in Normandy changing their schedules at the last minute, and the commentator did explain it over the PA late in the morning. As for food prices, I've seen better, and I've seen worse. However, all in all, it was worth it to see that massed take-off. It's a pity you were unable to stay long enough, so commiserations on that.
