Medication.

I take two tablets each day, which is pretty good for an Octogenarian I think.

One of these is Bendroflumethiazide for High Blood Pressure. The patient information leaflet enclosed, for which strong reading glasses are required due to the very small print, is a mine of information. Here's a list, or maybe it's a hit list, of things to be aware of.

What is in this leaflet?
What Bendroflumethiazide are and what they are used for.
What you need to know before taking these tablets.
Warnings and precautions.
Other medicines. Which is a list of 24 medicines which you shouldn't take with Bendro etc.
Bendro tablets and Alchohol. Thankfully you can still partake.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding, and fertility. None of which apply to me.
Driving and using machines. it's OK.
How to take Bendro tablets.
Possible side effects.
How to store Bendro tablets.
What Bendro tablets look like.

Having spent a long time reading this, in particular the side effects section, it appears that medication that is supposed to prolong your life, could actually kill you!

I'm not ready for a wooden overcoat just yet, so I'll risk taking them.

:)

Apologies for the multi-post, I'm not sure how it happened perhaps it's the tablets.

My score is 24 tablets a day. What gets me is that one of them is to protect my stomach from the effects of taking so many tablets.

Fortunately, I take only two:

A proton pump inhibitor (magic pill) in the morning.

A statin in the evening. (the doc said if I don't take it I will die).

You can see why SWMOB complains about the rattling sound I make when turning over in bed waking her up. :poke:

Actually I've reduced my intake of pills and potions - used to 200 now just a mere 144 per week. :)

Drinking lots? My Urologist has a saying that he keeps on repeating "The solution to pollution is dilution" Still, anything to keep the system from totally failing I guess.

Sorry? Oh, right. Pill time, must go.
